Summer in Taufers

Nature lovers will find themselves spellbound here. You can hike through green woodland and over flowering meadows, climb sun-blessed mountains and take a break on shady mountain pastures or get to know the surroundings on short or long bike tours. The Ahrn valley offers practically unlimited opportunities for outdoor activities, for example rafting, canyoning, riding, tennis, mini golf, paragliding and swimming in the swimming pond. You can stop-off at our mountain pasture in Jagdhaus in the Hohe Tauern nature park, or more precisely, in the Defreggen valley. With its 16 small houses and church, it is a tranquil mountain settlement and at the same time Austria's oldest mountain pasture that once belonged to Taufers Castle. Our Almausschank is also located there. At the same time, we do not neglect culture & lifestyle. For example, we have classical concerts, a local street festival with food, music in our climatic gallery and of course Taufers Castle, one of the largest and most beautiful fortifications in the whole of Tyrol with a stunning panorama.
